About Longlevity
How does Longlevity work?
You answer 13 short questions about your age and sex, your habits, your body, and your family history. It takes about 2 minutes. We combine your answers with CDC life tables and research covering 40M+ people to estimate your lifespan and show how it compares against the average. The Longlevity Report adds your biological age and names your biggest lever, the one habit change worth the most years to you. The full method is on our methodology page.
How accurate is it?
It's an estimate, not a prediction. The numbers come from U.S. population research covering 40M+ people and are kept deliberately conservative. Things we don't measure, like genetics and medical history, matter too, so treat the result as a direction, not a verdict. We review new research every month and version every change on the methodology page.
Why is your average higher than the CDC's?
The CDC's life tables assume today's death rates stay the same for the rest of your life. Historically they have not. Mortality has improved by roughly 1% a year, so the engine adds a small, conservative allowance for that, anchored to the Social Security Administration's cohort assumptions. It lifts the average by about two years at 40 and under a year at 70. Every average Longlevity shows, on the welcome page, in the calculators, next to your results and in Compare, is that same adjusted number, so you never meet two averages here. The methodology page has the detail.
Is Longlevity medical advice?
No. Longlevity is an educational tool built on population research. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it doesn't replace your doctor. Talk to a healthcare provider before making big changes to your health, diet, exercise, or medications.
Are you an AI company?
No. The ".ai" is just our web address. Your estimate is never generated by AI: every number comes from CDC data and peer-reviewed research, computed by a transparent model you can inspect on our methodology page. We use AI behind the scenes to help review research and test the math. It never sees your answers.
Can't I just ask an AI chatbot for this?
You can, and you will get a number. What you will not get is a model. A chat answer comes with no published model, no calibration and no record of how it was produced, so nothing makes next month's answer agree with this one, and nothing re-scores your history when the science moves. Longlevity is an engine. The baseline is the CDC's own life table. Each of the ten factors is anchored to a named study, and their combined size is calibrated to a study that measured the habits together. Overlapping habits are discounted so the gains do not simply add up. The whole thing carries a version number (engine 2.2.3 today), every saved result records the version that produced it, and we publish every review and release, including the ones that changed nothing. Building that took months of reading primary papers, and keeping it honest takes a review every month. That is the work you are not doing when you take the assessment.
What's a longevity archetype?
One of seven patterns that describe the shape of your habits: The Burnout Runner, The Coaster, The Optimizer, The Stress Carrier, The Late Starter, The Blind Spot, or The Builder. It shows which habits protect you, which pull you down, and where to start. Your archetype is part of the Longlevity Report. More at longevity archetypes.
Who is Longlevity for?
Adults who want an honest read on their health and a clear first step. It's designed for adults, and the assessment starts at age 18. It's built for the United States; see the note on other countries below.
Free for everyone
Is Longlevity free?
Yes, all of it. The assessment, your estimated lifespan and biological age, your biggest lever, the full report with every lever ranked and a 90-day plan, the 160+ habit library, unlimited re-measuring, sharing, comparing, and a free account to save it all. No card, no trial, no paywall.
What's in the report?
The full analysis of one measurement, free. Your biological age, your potential and your biggest lever by name. Every habit ranked by the years on the table, how each habit impacts your biological age, your three priorities with evidence behind each, science-backed actions picked for you, your projection with and without the changes, and a 90-day plan you can print and follow. Save your results and it is emailed to you as a permanent link that opens on any device and stays yours. Every new measurement comes with its own report. See an example report.
Is there anything to pay?
No. Nothing is for sale and nothing is charged. If your report was worth something to you, there is a way to support Longlevity at the end of it, $5, $10, $25 or an amount you choose. It is voluntary, it unlocks nothing, and it keeps Longlevity free for everyone.
Can I get a support payment back?
Yes. 30 days, full refund, no questions asked. Email contact@longlevity.ai from the address on your receipt and we refund it. Your saved data stays.
Your account and results
Do I need an account?
No. You can take the assessment and see your estimated lifespan without one. You only need an email to save your results. There are no passwords. Each sign-in email has a secure link and a 6-digit code.
How do I get back to my results?
Enter your email on the site and we'll send a fresh sign-in link. Open it on any device and your results and history load. You never need to redo the assessment to get back in. If you saved your results, the permanent link in your email opens your report on any device, no sign-in needed. If you didn't save, your browser keeps an in-progress assessment for 7 days and a finished one for 2 hours, on that device only.
Will you remind me to check in?
Once a year. If you save your results, we'll invite you back a year later to re-measure, free. You don't have to wait for the invitation. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
How long do you keep my data?
As long as you have an account, so you can keep tracking. A refund changes nothing in your account. Each assessment snapshot is kept up to 5 years. The details you enter about someone else in Compare are used to draw the card on your screen and are not saved. You can delete everything any time from the "Delete my data" link in any email we send.
Privacy and data
What data do you collect?
Only what you give us: your assessment answers (habits, age, gender, height and weight), your first name if you enter one, your email if you save, and anonymous usage counts that never include your individual answers, names, or emails. One figure derived from your result, the gap between your estimate and your potential, is added to a running total with no identifier. No precise location, contacts, or browsing history. Analytics record an approximate region.
Do you sell or share my data?
Never. We don't sell, rent, or share your personal data for marketing or advertising. Your answers produce your results and nothing else. The only third parties that touch your data are the ones that run the service: Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), and Google (anonymous analytics and the site's typeface, with no health answers, names, or emails sent).
Is my data safe?
We use HTTPS everywhere, signed tokens for sensitive actions, and storage isolated per user. Longlevity is an educational tool, not a medical service, so it isn't HIPAA-covered, but we treat your data with more care than the law requires. Details: Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Every email we send has a "Delete my data" link at the bottom. Tap it and we email you a confirmation link that works for ten minutes, so nobody holding a forwarded email can delete your account. Confirm, and everything is permanently removed. That means your results, your support payments, and every snapshot. We keep only your unsubscribe preference, as the law requires, so we never email you again.
Technical questions
Is there an app?
Longlevity is a web app you can add to your home screen. It opens full-screen with its own icon, with nothing to download and always up to date. On iPhone: open longlevity.ai in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen." On Android: tap the browser menu, then "Add to Home Screen." To sign in from the home-screen app, type the 6-digit code from your sign-in email.
Why isn't my email arriving?
Check spam first, especially on Gmail and Outlook. If it isn't there, request it again with the same email. Still nothing after 5 minutes? Email contact@longlevity.ai and we'll look. Common causes: work email filters, old forwarding rules, or a typo in the address.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile. Browsers older than 2021 may not render some features, like the compare view.
Does it work outside the United States?
Yes, with a caveat. The baseline comes from U.S. CDC data, so in a country whose life expectancy differs from the U.S. your estimate will be off by roughly that difference, and by less at older ages. The habit effects come from research across many countries and apply broadly. Treat the number as directionally right.
How do I report a bug?
Use the Feedback tab on the right edge of any page: what happened, which page, and what you expected. To send a screenshot, email contact@longlevity.ai with your browser and device. We read every report.
